Kivu Paradis Resort, Gisenyi, Rwanda

Located on the edge of Lake Kivu, it is owned and overseen by a local woman with artistic flair, and that shows in the decor.
We had booked two nights, then needed to go elsewhere for the second night at the last minute and wanted to return on night three.
This was absolutely no problem – they were able to accommodate us and were very welcoming when we returned.
Comfortable beds, a little beach, lovely tables by the water, beautiful gardens.
I would definitely stay here again!
